Profile: 150m long (3 times the height of an Eva); pure white body; long barbed tail; large mouth with sharp teeth; visible core on its forehead; three pairs of limbs stacked on the middle of its body; the topmost pair are wings, the middle pair end in gun-like organs called Deutron Rifles and the lowest pair are tipped with claws. The fastest free-moving Angel. When it screeches it releases intense sound waves that shatter nearby windows and visibly blur the air. Claws and tail stinger can puncture an Eva's armour. Deutron Rifles fire energy blasts more powerful than the positron rifles of the Evas. Extremely durable and able to heal rapidly. Damage fuels its rage; if it is injured, it can turn its own blood into an energy attack. Its most deadly weapon is a black, white and red coloured energy beam it fires from its mouth that does enormous damage, though the attack is so powerful that it must recharge after each use.

Battle: N'moshikttiel appears over two weeks after Barkiel, attacking just a day after the Eva pilots and GDF pilots, along with Hikari and Kensuke, leave on a camping trip to the mountains outside Tokyo-3, with the exception of Rei who has been called to a classified briefing at GDF Headquarters. As soon as NERV detects the Angel's Pattern Blue, Misato is sent to air-lift the pilots back to base. During the trip back she briefs them on the updates she's been getting from HQ: not only is this the fastest free moving Angel they've ever seen, it's incredibly durable and highly destructive. Between Tokyo-3's automated defences and the tanks and jets of the JSSDF and GDF, they've tried everything short of an N2 mine to absolutely no effect, and scans of the Angel show that even an N2 mine might not work. What has everyone nervous however is the Angel's unusual behaviour. Rather than immediately launching an all-out assault on the Geofront like most previous Angels, N'moshikttiel made an initial attack on the city that alerted NERV to its presence and then began circling in the sky, always staying in range and taking occasional potshots at NERV's defences with its Deutron Rifles. The Magi are unable to provide accurate data on the Angel's capabilities nor a possible strategy for defeating it, so Misato reluctantly informs the pilots they'll have to play this one by ear.
Eva's 01 through 03, along with Kiryu, MOGUERA, Super MechaGodzilla and Jet Jaguar are deployed. Unit-01 is armed with a pallet rifle, Unit-02 with a positron mortar and Unit-03 with two grenade launchers, while Jet Jaguar borrows a maser rifle. The Evas and mechas immediately take cover while they try to figure out a plan, but are then forced to scatter as N'moshikttiel makes a strafing run with its mouth beam. The sheer kinetic force and intense heat of the beam punches through 10-and-a-half of the Geofront's 22 armour layers, shattering and vaporising the metal and concrete as well as causing a huge explosion in the streets that the Evas and mechas barely avoid. The Angel soars overhead after its attack, its shriek shattering every nearby window like a banshee's war-cry. A rattled Misato warns the pilots not to get hit by a direct blast of the Angel's beam attack.
As N'moshikttiel comes around for another pass, the pilots cobble together a loose strategy: Woods and Ramirez in SMG make an educated guess that the Angel won't be able to use its beam attack again for a while and since SMG is the least manoeuvrable and most durable of the bunch, they will act as the bait to draw the Angel in. Unit-02 and Unit-03 will hide behind the buildings on either side of the street and then when the Angel is close enough they'll jump out, spread their A.T. Fields to maximum and brace for impact. Unit-01, Kiryu and Jet Jaguar will wait for the signal then emerge from cover to flank around behind the trapped Angel and can grab hold of it. When Asuka asks what happens after that and Woods and Ramirez admit they haven't figured that out yet, Mari declares that she has an idea and tells Jet Jaguar to follow her lead.
The Angel of Rage begins its attack run but SMG's NT20 Heat Shield is able to absorb the shots from its Deutron Rifles. As N'moshikttiel closes in for the kill Unit-02 and Unit-03 leap out of cover, raise their A.T. Fields to maximum and form them up in front of themselves. The Angel's A.T. Field collides with theirs, stopping it in its tracks, but it presses its tail stinger and claws against the clashing Fields, forcing Unit-01 to supplement with its own A.T. Field to prevent it breaking through. Kiryu and Jet Jaguar grab hold of the Angel's tail and begin dragging it backwards through the street. Pushing their flight systems to overdrive the robot and mecha carry the flailing Angel into the air and start spinning it around and around, faster and faster, telling the others to get ready to fire everything they have. When they let go, the Angel is sent crashing into a mountainside before being blasted with the combined power of a pallet rifle, twin grenade launchers, a positron mortar, maser beam, the Spiral Grenades and the Plasma Grenade. A gleeful Mari lands the final blow with a close range Absolute Zero. When the dust from the resulting explosion clears there is no sign of the Angel.
But the celebration is short lived. Misato cries out in warning just as Kiryu is blasted by the Angel's mouth beam, Mari screaming in pain as the red, white and black energy smashes Kiryu through several buildings and carries it clear to the hills on the opposite side of the city before detonating with tremendous force. Kiryu is rendered completely non-functional and Mari is severely injured. The force of the expanding air from the beam's extreme heat also scatters the others over 3km from each other and leaves them momentarily shocked. As they try to get back up and regroup the Angel takes advantage of their condition to start tearing into SMG with its claws, stinger and teeth, the mecha proving far more vulnerable to close combat than energy attacks. MOGUERA comes to their aid, firing with all its weapons, but they bounce harmlessly off the Angel's A.T. Field, who retaliates with its Deutron Rifles, targeting the weakest points of MOGUERA's armour. It then stabs its stinger through MOGUERA's plasma maser (like SpaceGodzilla did in the movie). Unable to keep up with their enemy's speed at close range and overwhelmed by its power, both mechas are soon rendered unable to move. As the Evas struggle to their feet, Jet Jaguar moves to protect them from the enemy's advance and the Angel of Rage plows into him head first. The heroic robot grapples with the much stronger Angel in an attempt to hold it back, leaving himself open to its claws and stinger. In an act of desperation JJ grabs a missile from a nearby weapon building and swings it down onto the Angel's core. The attack does nothing except anger N'moshikttiel, who proceeds to literally tear Jet Jaguar limb from limb.
An enraged Asuka charges in with only a Progressive Knife, dodging the Angel's claws and stinger before grabbing hold of its tail and stabbing at it. The Angel tries to escape but Unit-02 holds tight and is carried up into the sky. As it frantically ascends and tries to shake Unit-02 off, Asuka refuses to let go and starts climbing up the tail, using her knife as a climbing tool and puncturing the Angel's flesh repeatedly. N'moshikttiel starts rolling faster and faster as it climbs higher into the air, Asuka holding on to the knife, her anchor, with all her strength. But the force causes the knife to snap and Unit-02 starts to fall. Shinji tries to catch the plummeting Eva as the Angel of Rage accelerates into a dive and runs its claws through Unit-02 before tossing it to the ground. Unit-01 rushes to its side, Shinji calling desperately to Asuka. As the Angel's wounds heal, the blood floats off its flesh and forms up around it into hundreds of small energy balls. Toji urges Shinji to get away but he refuses to leave the helpless Asuka. The Angel's energised blood rains down as Unit-01 huddles over Unit-02, overwhelming the Eva's A.T Field and badly damaging it. When the explosions finally stop, both Evas are silent.
It is only then that Misato and the shocked NERV staff figure out what's so different about this Angel: it hasn't been sent to destroy NERV, it's been sent to destroy the Evas and their allies; to eliminate the only things standing in the way of the Angels' mission. Its initial attack was only meant to lure out the Evas and GDF mechas so that it could pick them apart at its leisure, playing with the minds of the pilots to get them to react the way it wanted them to. First it played to Mari's overconfidence by lulling her into a false sense of security. Then it used the specific weaknesses of SMG and MOGUERA to its advantage. It turned Jet Jaguar's protective programming against him. It left itself open for Asuka to attack in retaliation, using her pride and rage to get her alone. Then it took out Unit-01 by playing on Shinji's feelings for Asuka, knowing he would try to save her. Now only Toji, the pilot with the least experience and operating the only Eva without an S2 Engine, remains to stand against it. When Misato questions how the Angel could know how the pilots would react and about the weaknesses of the GDF mechas, Ritsuko realises it's using knowledge gleamed by the previous Angels: Iruel's hacking of Magi files on the GDF mechas and the psychological profiles of their pilots, Shinji and Asuka's encounters with Leliel and Arael, Toji's encounter with Bardiel, Rei's encounter with Armisael; they've been fighting an enemy that knows them better than they know themselves. Gendo coldly states that if Unit-03 fails to defeat the Angel, they'll have no choice but to self-destruct the base. Fuyutsuki whispers that the Committee would be have Ikari's head for such an action but Gendo quietly replies that if he can't realise his goals for humanity then he won't let SEELE realise theirs.
With just his Progressive Knife left, Toji faces down the Angel of Rage alone. The white monstrosity rushes at him as he tries to brace, the impact breaking Unit-03's knife arm and sending it skidding back across the ground. The Eva cracks its head against the pavement and the stunning numbness causes Toji to drop the knife. As he forces the Eva to a standing position the Angel charges again. Unit-03 stumbles out of the way of its claws, just catching one of them in its side, only to be impaled by its stinger. Just when all hope seems lost however, NERV detects something approaching at mach 4 right before the Angel is blasted away from Unit-03 by a spiralling triple laser and two golden lightning bolts. The familiar voice of Rei Ayanami announces that help has arrived as a gigantic form descends on Tokyo-3: the GDF's newly-completed super-weapon, Mecha-King Ghidorah. The NERV staff in Central Dogma are shocked to see the former Destroyer of Worlds so transformed and even more that Rei is the one piloting it. Only Gendo is unsurprised.
The Angel of Rage regains its composure and attacks with its powerful mouth beam, Misato screaming at Rei to get out of the way. But MKG stays right where it is as the beam hurtles towards it. To everyone's amazement, the beam impacts with a bright flash against an A.T. Field that deflects the energy away. With a movement of its wings, MKG shoots across the ground at incredible speed. The cyborg's A.T. Field collides with the Angel's, who tries to break through with its stinger, but MKG moves aside and bats the Angel to the ground with a strike from one of its heads. MKG flaps its wings and its A.T. Field violently slices through the Angel's, just like Unit-01 and 02 against Zeruel, severing N'moshikttiel's wings in a spray of blood and leaving it writhing on the ground. Rei launches MKG's capture cables to hold the now helpless Angel in place and then blasts its core with the laser triple beam and gravity beams. Rei deploys MKG's A.T. Field to cover her fallen friends as the core cracks and the Angel self-destructs with a final shriek, leaving a massive crater in the outskirts of the city.
It is only after the battle is over and the pilots, along with their machines/cyborgs, are retrieved for medical attention and repairs, that NERV and the GDF discover why neither Godzilla nor any other kaiju showed up to help: Monster Island is under attack!
