GODZILLA LEGACY REBIRTH

Origins

Infant Island

Ozaki, Miki, Serizawa and Graham traveled further down the hallway, hoping to find a way out and back to the rest of the group. As they walked, they noticed hieroglyphics all around them on the walls. They stopped in front of one, which appeared to depict a great battle. They saw what looked like a great city and men fighting back against what appeared to be a giant three-headed dragon.
"What do suppose it means?" Miki asked. "I don't know. This dialect is unknown to me" the Graham replied. "Let's just keep moving" Ozaki said.

They continued down the hallway until they reached a massive room with a pedestal on it. But what truly got their attention was on the opposite wall of the pedestal; a massive mural with many kaiju on it. They recognized Anguirus, Rodan, Varan, Mothra, Gorosaurus, Kamoebas, Titanosaurus and Zilla but all the others depicted were unknown to them. All the creatures were divided up into what could only be described sections. On the top section were Titanosaurus, Zilla, Varan, Manda, a giant turtle, a giant lobster, a giant squid and a giant crab. On the left section were a Anguirus, Mothra, Gorosaurus, a giant spider and a mammalian creature of some kind. On the right section were Rodan, a giant dragonfly and a giant mantis. And lastly on the bottom section were three unknown monsters. One was a horned reptilian creature, one a dark moth that looked like a twisted Mothra and lastly was a giant humanoid beetle like creature with, what appeared to be, pointed hands.

"What is this?" Ozaki asked. "And what does it mean?" Serizawa asked as well. "Allow us to explain" came a pair of female voices. The group was startled and looked towards the pedestal. Standing there were the twin attendants of Mothra, the Shobijin. Needless to say, the sight of the tiny women was something that took the group by surprise. Everyone looked at them with a sense of wonder, and amazement. But also a ew other things as well. Serizawa, and Graham had a look of scientific curiosity, as they were looking at beings who were of a fascinating nature. Miki had a look which appeared a few moments later which was that of a person trying to recognize someone they had seen before, but couldn't quite place. And for Ozaki, it was leaning more towards confusion, as he had no idea what to make of these two....faeries,  perhaps? And in a few moments, he spoke up, asking the obvious question.

"Uh, excuse me? Not to sound rude or anything, but who are you two?" he asked.

The question was actually answered by Miki, who finally remembered where she had seen the tiny women before. So, before the two could speak, Miki identified them first.

"Wait a minute! I've seen you two before!" she said.

This earned her a confused look from everyone there, that is until Dr Graham spoke next.

"You have? Where?" she asked. Miki replied, "It was in the EDF's kaiju files. Mothra's actually. In 1961, Mothra came to Tokyo, and leveled it until she found what the reports described as "two small girls". and they looked just like the two of you." she said, as she addressed the Shobijin. "You are those same beings as back then, aren't you?"

Though surprised at first, the two fairies looked to each other before looking back at Miki, but with a smile. They were actually impressed by how perceptive she was, and acknowledged her as someone very special. They then spoke again saying, "Yes, you are correct, Miss Saegusa. We are the Shobijin. We are the voice of Mothra, and the ones who speak to humanity on her behalf when it is needed."

This caught Miki by surprise, since she didn't recall telling the Shobijin her name, or even hearing it from the others. So with a confused look, she spoke again.

"Wh-How did you know my name? Did you somehow read my mind, or something?" she asked.

"Actually, it is written on your tag there." they replied.

Hearing this, a look of realization came on her, and she looked down to the left side of her chest to see her name tag sitting there. And she felt a bit silly about not realizing this when the Shobijin spoke her name. Either way, she gave out a small embarrassed chuckle as she replied again.

"O-oh, heh. I see. Guess i should've figured."

But then Serizawa, who was still curious about the Shobijin, and grew even more so after they mentioned what their task was, decided to speak to the shobijin, and ask a question.

"You mentioned being the voice of Mothra, and that ou speak to humanity when it is needed. What exactly did you mean by this?" he asked.

The Shobijin turned to him, and said "Simply that we are Mothra's connection to humanity. As beings who represent her will, and desire for peace, we are tasked with the duty of communing with humanity to prepare for any events which may occur, whether they be good, or ill."

"But why have you come to us?" Dr. Graham asked.

"To warn you." they replied in a grim tone.

Hearing this gave the group a bit of concern upon hearing the tone the Shobijin spoke in a tone they didn't actually expect to hear. So they looked at each other, wondering what they should ask, before Ozaki wracked up the nerve to ask the Shobijin something. "Warn us of what, exactly?"

"Of the imminent return of an ancient evil that wishes to bring destruction to this planet, just as it did many centuries ago. One which can only be defeated when humanity, and the earth's kaiju, join forces to protect our world."

Now everyone was even more confused than they already were, urging Ozaki to speak again."Wait, wait a minute? What are you talking about? What evil? And what does it have to do with the kaiju? How are they tied in to this?"

The Shobijin looked to each other again,before they turned back to the group, and spoke again.

"Please forgive us. But it seems to help you understand what is coming, we must explain what we know to you of this evil. And of the day it came to our world in the time of The First Civilization."

'What? Excuse me, but what is "The First Civilization"?"Miki asked.

"Do not fear. For we shall show you."

"And how do you plan to do that?" asked Ozaki.

"By projecting the events of the past into your minds directly. If you would be willing to allow it, that is. After all, we do not wish to force you to subject yourselves to something like this, but it is the only way to help you prepare for the imminent danger that awaits you. You must trust us. Please."They said.

The group then took a moment to consider what the Shobijin were intending to do. Though it was clear the Shobijin meant no harm, it was still the idea of them going into their minds that made them a small bit weary. But Miki, who could indeed sense that the Shobijin's intentions were true, as she addressed them upon making her decision.

"All right. I'll do it. I believe you when you say it's the way to save us. And if it means keeping all of us alive, then I'll happily agree."

This got the others thinking again. and also considered that Miki was a person with good judgement, and if she trusted the Shobijin, then it means that they can, too. So, one by one, they all agreed to the Shobijin's offer.

"Very well" Serizawa said.

'Yes, I agree also." Dr Graham said.

Ozaki took one final moment of consideration before answering with a sigh, "I guess if it means keeping people out of danger, then I'll go for it, too."

"Excellent", said the Shobijin. "Now if you please, all of you close your eyes."

They did, as the Shobijin continued.

"Now clear your mind of all thoughts. Empty your mind, as we send you visions of the ancient days of The First Civilization'.

The two then assumed a praying stance as they also closed their eyes. And then,their bodies began to glow in a golden aura which floated from them to the four humans heads in a miasma of mystical energy. Once this occurred, the group began seeing visions. Visions of a world much like theirs, but still completely different from what they knew. They were seeing the distant past, and where the story of The First Civilization began.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"16,000 years ago, the earth was a much different place"
The vision of an expansion of jungles, and even forests appears.
"In those days,our world was young, and unspoiled by any of the unnatural elements that exist today."
Numerous exotic plants, and tree's the size of buildings could also be seen. And prehistoric mammals could be seen throughout.
"And as humans know, it was a time when they were a primitive, and uncultured race. As wild, and simple as the beasts they hunted."
In the forest, a Sabertooth was on the prowl for something to hunt. It had not eaten anything in a while, and it was hoping to get a new meal very soon. In time,it caught the scent of something bizzare,that it had never smelt before. Curious, the jungle cat set forth to follow the scent, believing that it might lead to some kind of food. For a few hours it walked, and all the while the scent grew stronger, and stronger. Whatever it was the Sabertooth was following, it could tell that it was very close. However, once it walked far enough, something strange happened: it disappeared through an invisible wall of some kind which rippled like water as the Sabertooth passed through. At first, it looked back in confusion, as it was unable to understand the strange feeling it had when it passed through the invisible wall. But when it turned back in the other direction, it saw something truly astonishing.
"However, this was far from what the truth was."
The sabertooth looked to see an enormous city, unlike anything seen before by mankind of the present. A glittering assortment of silver, and gold spires were spread across this vast utopia. All of them much larger than the tree's of the nearby forests, and much grander than the cities of today. If one were to witness the sight of this city, they would confuse it with a futuristic city misplaced in the reaches of time. And in a few moments, bright lights could be seen as the city prepared itself for the imminent evening at hand. Something which immediately frightened the Sabertooth to the point that it ran back through the invisible wall, which was now seen as a cloaking field. There was certainly no prey to find here, and definitely less chances of being in danger elsewhere.
"Unknown to the world of now, there once existed a great empire that was known as The First Civilization. An ancient city with sciences far more advanced than anything seen today, and knowledge that far exceeds that of any science, or philosophies that exist now."
Inside the city,  people walked casually down streets of smooth, clear marble, dressed in what many could describe as futuristic Roman-esque garbs, showing the grand, and  magnificent culture they were part of. There were even vehicles of an advanced design, which either drove/hovered on smooth metal roads, or even flew through the air to destinations unknown. There were even escalators of intricate design all around. Some were on the sidewalks, others were leading to different parts of the city, or into buildings. And many elevators occupied the buildings, allowing people to reach any part of the enormous buildings they needed to access. There were even  monorails in a few places, which allowed people to travel across the city by means other than flying vehicles. There were also schools which had sophisticated technology which helped the students to learn everything there was to know in their culture, whether it be ancient history, or even the many legends they had developed throughout the centuries. In short, it was a glittering jewel of a Utopia. One which was at it's prime, and only seemed to be growing in it's accomplishments, and advancements.
"But aside from their technological feats,the people of The First Civilization were also manipulators of creation. What your scientists would refer to as master geneticists."
In another part of the city,there was an advanced laboratory, with dozens of people dressed in white coats. In here, they were working with a bunch of special computers, which were analyzing data. In several shelves were held dozens of polished hunks of amber, each of which contained fossilized Mosquitoe's. Some of these amber pieces were being handled by a couple of geneticists who were busy drilling into a few of them, and extracting some kind of DNA. This DNA was placed into another machine, which was analyzing,and replicating the DNA strands while also crossing it with some unknown animal DNA. In another part of the lab,  machine hands were moving around,handling what appeared to be domed incubator's,with clutches of eggs inside.  And in one of these incubators, an egg was about ready to hatch, much to the delight of the nearby scientists, who gathered around to watch the youngling hatch from it's egg.
"With their advanced, superior knowledge of science, and genetic engineering, they were able to restore life to those who had long since past. This involved the rebirth of the original rulers of this planet which you know as the dinosaurs."
From the egg emerged a baby Velociraptor, which was looking around in curiosity at it's surroundings, and squealing in the same manner as any newborn baby would. All the while, the scientists wore a smile as they watched this newborn miracle, as they referred to it, and then proceeded to prep it for the nursery.
"But while some would see this as an abhorent disregard for nature, The First Civilization were actually those who respected nature, and even moreso for their creations. For the reason they tampered with creation was not for any ill intentions. It was so they could test their skills, and use what they had to perhaps help other lifeforms who had needlessly perished acquire a second chanceat life. Which is why they created a sanctuary for the dinosaurs they revived. Contained in a part of their city where they could live isolated from any outside interference,and where they could prosper for the rest of their lives. They simply provided the environment they would require to survive, as they had no true place in the world outside anymore."
The city had a massive, dome-like structure which was connected to the city by a tunnel that connected the two places together. Inside the dome, were numerous dinosaurs scattered throughout in their own separate places. Sauropods grazed on the tree's that resided there, a herd of Triceratops was watching over their nests, a herd of Stegosaurs were walking through a section of the jungle on a singular path, and predators were either hunting for their food, or relaxing and prowling in their peaceful environment. among these creatures were certain dinosaurs which appeared different from the averages. One in particular was an enormous  saurian with green scales that wandered around this jungle, as if it were keeping an eye out for anything which may be out of place, or where danger may be. But in this expanse of greenery, and wild, everything was nice, and peaceful, with no signs of danger to be found anywhere.
"And in this ancient time, all who existed did so in peace, and harmony  with each other, and all was well."
Both people in the city, and the dinosaurs in their home continued to enjoy their peaceful lives, with not a care in the world. But then, in the cities defense center, scanners detected an enormous object entering the earth's atmosphere, and heading straight for their city. Outside, people, and even dinosaurs looked up to the sky to see a bright light in the sky, and saw what appeared to be a shooting star  directly above them. But then, to their surprise, it began to quickly fall in their direction. In a matter of moments, it crashed into the cloaking field,shattering it, and crashed into the dome, causing a large explosion in the outer rim of the area.
"But like everything, peace was not meant to last forever."
Upon seeing the event, an investigation team went into the dome to find where the meteor had landed. And thanks to their scanners, and the large smoke pillar, they found it. There, lying in a canyon was the meteor. Upon observation, it was shown to be bright gold in color, similar to the amber pieces in the genetics lab, and it was also glowing in an unnatural manner.Flashing in a steady, rhythmic beat as if it were a beating heart. But after a few moments, the pulsing grew in intensity. For a few minutes it did this, all the while glowing brighter, and brighter, like something was living inside of it. And it was waking up.This proved to be true as suddenly, and without warning, it surged brighter than anything seen before, and then exploded in a massive burst of energy, and fire. But then, something very strange happened: The fires from the explosion shot into the air, and then stopped in a specific spot in the sky, forming a large fireball that only hovered in place. Electricity began coursing through the fire ball as something else occurred. Something which would haunt the people of The First Civilization till the end of their days: a mysterious form began to take shape in the fire, but in a way that appeared as if the fire itself was beginning to transform. and eventually,  the investigators made out a shape that began appearing piece by piece: First a pair of wings, then legs, then tails, and finally 3 heads. In the span of a few seconds the mysterious being then surged in electricity, and then glowed with energy before the flames died, and the body of the strange alien was visible. It appeared to be a Golden, three-headed dragon with no arms, but two big wings that looked like fans having claws at the tips of the membranes, long twin tails that ended in spiky clubs on each, and three snake like heads. Though actually, if one were to say what they viewed of this golden wyvern's three heads, they would notice how they bore a striking resemblance to dragons of eastern cultural legends, and myths. Each head had a pair on antlers, with the middle being more defined than the others. It's face also bore a permanent scowl to show how it had nothing but disdain fire everything. It had no lips, and so it's teeth were visible, and appeared as fearsome as the rest of the beast. And finally it's eyes: glowing a crimson red, with also a serpentine appearance, and they were filled with pure evil, and malice. No one knew what this creature was, but they knew that it was something to be afraid of, considering it was as large as the very mountains of the earth itself. There was no telling what would happen if this being decided to attack. But for now, it simply hovered in the air, it's heads scanning the area it was in, a look of disinterest upon them.
"No one knows exactly what he was, or where exactly he came from. nly that is was a demon from the stars, and possibly from beyond . And in time, this monster from beyond was given a name which would instill fear into the hearts of those who know of the legends. For on that day, The King of Terror had come to our world. That was they day King Ghidorah had come to bring destruction to all life."
After a while, King Ghidorah had stopped looking around, and he set his gaze upon the humans he could sense were nearby. And then, his scowl turned into a malefic grin which would make even the sternest souls shudder in fear at the sight of it.Then he let out an immense roar, which sounded like the chiming of a bell forged in the deepest pits of hell itself. And in the blink of an eye, his right head surged with lightning, and he fired a Gravity Beam at the little humans, obliterating them instantly. He then began shooting gravity beams at the surrounding area, scorching everything in sight. Many dinosaurs were killed by the beams energy, and several more died in the large fires that rose from the attack. Only a few were able to evade the King of Terror's onslaught. This also included the enormous green dinosaur, who along with a few other dinosaurs, had taken refuge in a hidden part of the area. But as the others fled, the dinosaur looked to King Ghidorah, who landed on the ground to finish up his work, and also looked at the saurian at that same moment. He then gave the golden hydra the most intense,and hate-filled glare imaginable.. King Ghidorah,on the other hand, payed no heed to this display, and instead found it somewhat amusing. And even though he saw the dinosaurs run into a nearby cave, he payed no heed because he didn't consider them important enough to be bothered with, especially after he just killed, and devoured the rest of them. Besides, he had new prey to set his sights on now. One that would be much weaker, and even quicker to kill for his amusement. So, with a mighty flap of his wings, which made a strong gust of wind which blew back many tree's, and even caused the ground to break, and fly into the air. He then made his way to the city, where the real fun would begin.
"King Ghidorah was  a monster of pure malice. He exists only for the destruction of all that lives. And all for his own twisted sense of amusement. Very few of the revived dinosaurs survived his cataclysmic reign of terror. And he ensured that The First Civilization would not survive the horrors he wrought upon them that day. For the King of Terror relished in the destruction of entire worlds, and ensured that their suffering was long, and agonizing. The work of a true sadist."
In the once peaceful cit, people were stirred by what sounded like explosions coming from the dinosaur's enclosure.No one knew what could be causing such aloud rukus, but  it could not be anything good. That's when the cities emergency alert system sounded off a siren which was only used for major emergencies. This finally got people to begin panicking, as they knew something very dangerous was happening,  and when an explosion came from the perimeter of the dome, everyone was flown into a full on panic, which only got worse as soon as King Ghidorah emerged from the explosion. Everyone was now running like mad,hooping to scape from the golden demon which soared above heir heads, roaring and cackling like a sadistic madman as he took in the amount of fear he could sense from the puny insects beneath him, taking it all in with malevolent glee.He then unleashed a barrage of gravity beams from his mouth upon the city, tearing down skyscrapers, and reducing everything to ruble. And no matter how fast people ran, he was too fast for them, and  was quickly able to wipe them out as he moved. As he continued his barrage, he began moving towards two buildings that stood side by side. With a cruel smile, he flew to the buildings, and then smashed right through them with his wings, weakening their foundation, and causing them to fall onto the screaming people below. any humans still inside were also crushed by the rubble as it crumbled like sand. In a few hours, the city was turned into an ocean of fire, as buildings were crushed, and thousands of people died n the chaos. All the while,Grand King Ghidorah flew over the city, giving out his chiming roar, as he took great pleasure in the carnage he wrought . Though there were a few people still alive, many of them were grievously injured, or were wishing for this horrible nightmare to be over soon. But no such mercy came to the despairing denizens of this once proud, and beautiful city.
"However, The Grand King would find that the humans of the First Civilization were not as helpless as they appeared to be, as they rallied together to the defense of their grand city."
In the midst of this destructive calamity, a large military force appeared, with an array of tanks, what resembled maser weapons, and an array of planes, and advanced fighter jets. Even though the First Civilization was peaceful, they still created weapons for when a time would come to face anything which could threaten their very existence.and today was that day. and King Ghidorah soon took notice of this little attempt at resistance with skepticism. Many times on countless worlds had King Ghidorah faced some form of resistance from the planets denizens, who foolishly clung to the hope of either defeating him, or driving him away. He had no doubt this would be no different from those other events, but he did hope this would be more entertaining than the other fools he wiped from existence. But as his expression told, he was skeptical of that happening. Nevertheless, he decided to indulge these fools, and stood still in a single spot, making sure that they could strike him without obstruction, and so he could witness first hand whether these human's toys would be effective, or not.Seeing this,the military forcews were a bit confused, as they had no idea what King Ghidorah was doing. But though they were unsure, they nevertheless took this as an opportunity, and unleashed their arsenal of weapons upon the golden horror. Missiles, lasers, masers, and even bullets rained upon King Ghidorah's body, and smoke began rising up, concealing his body from their sight. After a few minutes, they endedtheir assault, and waited for the smoke to pass to see if  they had done any damage to King Ghidorah. They held onto that hope for the next few minutes as the smoke slowly dissipated. However, once the smoke passed, their hopes were dashed at the sign of something truly terrible.
"But in spite of their brave efforts, they were soon proven to be in vain as they saw the King of Terror still standing before them."
King Ghidorah stood there with a bemused look, seeing that he was right about this so-called "resistance" not being as amusing as he hoped it would. But when he sensed the utter despair from the human soldiers at seeing that they had failed their mission to protect what was left of the city. This caused Ghidorah to grin like the sadistic demon he was, and he let out a bellowing cackle of a roar as he took somuch pleasure from feeling such misery from these insects. It was his favorite part of destroying worlds: feeling the sense of terror, and general despair once a civilization realized that they were doomed. After letting the sensation settle, he decided it was time to finish his work here, and set about destroying the human's weapons of war. Like tin toys, they were all crushed by his full fury. Gravity Beams annihilated all of the tanks, and when he rose into the air, he unleashed a barrage of lightning from his wings which wiped out the aerial forces in a matter of moments. With that, the last sign of resistance was crushed, and he then finished wiping out the city. By dawn, only fire, and rubble remained of this once great city. and hardly anything was left standing. King Ghidorah now floated in the air, as he looked at the marvelous destruction he had wrought. He then began considering if he should perhaps finish off the rest of the earth as well. But he decided not, since he felt satisfied with the amount of destruction he had wrought. Besides, it was more fun destroying a planet when there was sentient life like the ones in this city to provide amusement to his assault. So he decided to simply leave, and continue his work elsewhere. He also considered that perhaps a new species might come to live on this planet someday. One which might better help satisfy his lust for death, and destruction. Perhaps one day. Oh, yes. One Day.
"In the end, the Grand King of Terror had turned the once great  city into a  desolation of death, and misery. The newly revived dinosaurs were now only a hand few, and the same could be said for the humans as well. The First Civilization was no more."
In the dome, the dinosaurs that managed to hide came out of their seclusion to see their home was nothing more than a wasteland. They began moving through what remained of their region, searching for any others that may have survived as well. Though sadly, they would have no such luck. The same could be easily said for the humans as well. Very few humans were left, and were trying to find survivors of the great cataclysm that befell them. But only a few hundred out of the thousands of citizens that lived there could be found. Eventually, they realized that everything that kept them prosperous, and alive was now gone. King Ghidorah had ravaged the city completely, and almost none of their technology was left. They then understood that their end was here at last. and there was no hope for them.
"However, in spite of the great calamity that came upon them, a few remnants of  the civilization remained, and  decided to at least ensure that if future generations of humanity should ever come back, they would not suffer the same fate as they did. This is what  motivated them to create the Guardians of the Earth. And fortunately, they had just the ones who could play this role."
After King Ghidorah's attack,the remaining humans set out to recover the remaining Dinosaurs that survived, and use them for a new experiment. One which involved the study of new sciences, including the first real use of nuclear energy, and even harnessing the very lifeforce of the earth, Mana, to transform the animals into something else. Something which would prove to be a powerful force for protecting their world from  the return of King Ghidorah, or anything else which could threaten the world. They would take these simple creatures, and turn them into titans. For in order to protect themselves from monsters, they would need to create monsters of their own.
"Though they did not wish to do so, the last surviving humans knew that if King Ghidorah, or anything like him, should return one day, their only hope was to create beings who could match such powerful foes. Ones who's size would be greatly altered, and new power would be given to them to fulfill this task. This in turn would lead to the creation of the ones you call "kaiju".
The humans gathered the remaining dinosaurs, and brought them to a new lab. One which had an enormous chamber which would be large enough to contain the kaiju once they appear. But with how few dinosaurs there were left, they decided to add a few more animals to the list, such as insects, an arachnid, crustaceans, a squid, a tortoise and even a few strange reptiles, too. Once it was done, they used their new technology, which combined radiation, and mana into one single, fused energy source. and one by one,the animals were exposed to this energy, and were very quickly changed. they were no longer simple beast, or any such thing. Now they were massive titans of immense strength, that could tear the very mountains themselves apart. And once the kaiju were created, the humans set them loose upon the world. For they knew that in order for them to fulfill their roles as defenders of earth, they would need to exist IN the world itself. However, even though there was not much doubt the kaiju defend this planet when the time was right, they were still mostly animals. And as such, they could cause just as much harm to the world itself. This made them perform new research, which involved learning certain mystic spells which would create a different kind of kaiju.
"And yet,they also knew that the kaiju would need  a means of being kept in check. A force which would be strong enough to keep the balance of the world alive, and order maintained."
The humans looked ion as they saw their latest creations: a beautiful, enormous moth, and what appeared to be a shaggy, bipedal dog beast leave for parts unknown. They felt that in order to keep peace with humanity, and even the kaiju, there needed to be creatures who were different from the others. Those whose powers were of a supernatural variation. This lead to them using ancient mysticisms to create a king of living stone, and an eternal goddess of piece, who would continue to keep the earth safe, even after she died. For her kin would assume her mantle once she had passed, and their offspring would do so in turn. An endless cycle which would ensure one of the earth's greatest guardians would endure throughout the ages.
"They began by creating two powerful guardians who would be defenders of not only the earth, but humanity as well. They would understand that balance between humans, and kaiju would be essential to their own survival. This was how the great King Caesar, and our beloved Mothra came into being. They would maintain balance between the two races until the end of their days.
But this would not be enough. To ensure the survival of the entire world, there would need to be a kaiju who would be strong enough to lead the kaiju. One who could face any challenge, any foe, and would remain the earth's greatest protector."
In the dead of night, the humans begin one last kaiju experiment. But this time, the green dinosaur was the one inside the chamber, confused at what was happening. But in a few moments, a bright flash went off, as the dinosaur was being charged with the radiation/mana charger which created the other kaiju. but this time, there was more power beng put into this. The humans detectd with the remains of their technology, that this creature had great potential inside it to be even greater than the other kaiju. And so,they put all of their efforts into making this the mightiest kaiju of all.
"They therefore used  what remained of their resources to create an Apex Predator. A beast whose strength, ferocity, and power would make it a force great enough to make it the king of the monsters."
As the procedure continued, the dinosaur continued changing: it's skin began to grow dark, scutes were beginning to jut out of it's back, it's arms grew larger, and it's size was increasing greatly. So far, everything was going well. Butthen, systems began failing as apparently every trace of energy was being drawn into the kaiju. The humans were frantically trying to stop the process before something bad happened.But they were too late. In a few moments, the dinosaur began roaring in pain, and glowing pure white. Then without warning, an explosion of magnificent proportions occurred, and blew up the facility in the process. Smoke was billowing everywhere as a few humans managed to recover from the blast, and were now hoping to find the dinosaur. But what they found instead was something far more than they expected. There, standing before them in the smoke, was an enormous, charcoal black leg, which appeared as a massive pillar of muscle. Their eyes began shifting upwards, as they saw the rest of this godly beast: scaly skin black as coal, a long reptilian tail swinging back and forth, two human-like arms tucked together in a sort of fighting stance, a broad chest, maple-leaf shaped dorsal plates throughout his back, and the head of a powerful, and ferocious beast which was once a mere dinosaur which now had a snout like a crocodile, but with a saurian's jaws holding two rows of razor sharp teeth, and what even appeared to be two, small, but pointed ears. But the creature's eyes were closed, as if it were silently taking in it's new change.
"This was a beast of unbeatable strength, unstoppable fury, unthinkable power and an unbreakable will. This was a being who would be known to the entire world as.....Godzilla."
The beast then opened its amber, and red eyes with a fierce look which would bring a shudder down anyone's spine. He then let out a mighty roar which told the world that the king had arrived
And like that, the vision ended, and Ozaki and company found themselves back in the cavern where they began. Needless to say, what they saw left them nearly overwhelmed from how much they had learned.
"O-oh, man. That was intense!" shouted Ozaki.
"Yeah, I know." replied Miki.
"That was... the most amazing experience I've ever had!" Dr Graham exclaimed.
"Indeed. I never could have imagined that this was how the kaiju came to be. It's almost... unbelievable" said Serizawa.
Then the Shobijin spoke up again, addressing everyone in the room, "And yet it is all true. The kaiju are the creations of The First Civilization meant to keep our world safe from the dangers of those who would wish to harm it. It was their final bid to ensure none would suffer the same tragedy that befell them again."
"But wait." said Miki "What happened to the First Civilization?"
"Sadly, after Godzilla departed, they passed on. Because they used what last resources they had at their disposal to create the kaiju, they sacrificed their only hope to ever survive the great calamity. But the myths and legends of their once great culture still endure in the countless legends that exist today."
"And which legends would those be, if I may?" asked Dr Graham.
"Well, perhaps you are familiar with the lost city of Atlantis?"
'Well, of course. We-" Graham's eyes then widened in realization. "H-hold on a moment! You mean to say that the First Civilization was... Atlantis?"
"Indeed. It is also referred to by many cultures as Mu, and even Lemuria. Cities which we believe are described as similar to Atlantis."
"Wait just a minute." Ozaki said. "How can that be possible? There's no way several cities can actually be one."
"Actually, it is possible, Ozaki." said Miki.
Confused, Ozaki turned to Miki,and asked "What do you mean by that?"
"Well, it's like a story: they're all the same, but they happen to be different versions because the story changes with every telling. So I guess as the stories of The First Civilization went on, it eventually came to be known by all of these different names. Different titles, but all are one and the same.I guess it was just forgotten with time, as most things are."
The Shobijin looked at Miki with a gleeful smile. She really was a bright, and insightful person with a good heart. Something they admired greatly.
"Indeed, you are correct, Miss Saegusa. You are truly an insightful person, and very bright for your age. As time went in, the legend changed a bit, but it was still the same. But the legacy of The First Civilization lived on still."
Miki put on a proud smile, as apparently she had the respect of the Shobijin themselves, which made her feel very happy. But then, suddenly, she thought of an interesting question she really wished to have answered.
"Um, pardon me, but can i ask you a question about something?"
"Yes, you may."
"Well, i was just thinking.You told us that the First Civilization created the kaiju of earth, including Mothra. So that got me wondering: how do you two fit into all of this?"
Serizawa also spoke up,"Yes, indeed.I was curious about that, too. How di you two become Mothra's emissaries?"
The Shobijin turned to look at eah other,before turning back to the others, and speaking again. "A very good question to ask. To be truthful, we are actually all that remains of The First Civilization."
"What?" asked Serizawa.
"Allow us to explain: in the ancient days, we were scientists who helped to recreate the dinosaurs. After Ghidorah destroyed our city, we suggested the idea to create the kaiju, and combat the great destroyer should he ever return.  But when it came time to bring King Caesar and Mothra to life, our allies felt that it wouldn't be enough to have kaiju who would fight on humanities behalf. There also needed to be those who could speak for the kaiju. Ones who could serve as the link between the two species, and warn humanity of any great danger which may one day come to our world. We volunteered to be the ones to do so. And so, with the mystical spells learned by the others, we beame the Shobijin. Fairies who are more in tuned with nature than any other force in the universe except one: Mothra. And she was a being of mystical power, she could sense things no other being could. Realizing how useful this would be, we chose to serve as Mothra's priestesses, and we became her voice as well. Now it is our duty to warn others of any threat which may come to our world."
"And you said that you brought the four of us here to warn us." said Ozaki. 'But what are you warning us about?"
"That King Ghidorah is returning."
This gained everyones attention, and they widened their eyes in worry. They had already seen what King Ghidorah was capable of. So to think that he could actually be returning was a chilling idea.  Which Miki pointed out as she spoke up.
"Y-you mean, he is coming back? But why? and how do youknow this?
"We know because Mothra knows. She has sensed his presence, and she knows that he is coming back. As for why, it is likely that he wishes to finish what he began long ago.Only this time... he will leave nothing left of this planet alive. He will ravage it to the point that life will be unable to emerge from the devastation again. It will be the end of our world as we know it."
"But is there no way to stop him?!" Miki shouted.
"Of course, there is. If you have truly been listening, then you know that the only hope for this world to survive is them." Seeing that the Shobijin were pointing to something , they turned to the direction the Shobijin pointed to. And once again, they looked to the mural they saw before. But this time, they began piecing together what they knew with what they saw on this picture.
"So, you really do mean the kaiju, don't you?" asked Serizawa.
'"Yes."
"Okay, sure. But what i want to know is why are they separated into different sections? Is it supposed to mean something?" asked Ozaki.
Luckily, after looking at the mural for a few moments, Miki came toher own conclusion.
"Maybe they represent the elements, or something. I mean look here at the top: Titanosaurus, Varan, Zilla and Manda are aquatic kaiju. And from the looks of it, so are these others.That probably means that they represent water. And over here to the left: Anguirus, Mothra, and Gorosaurus with these others are mostly land-based, so i guess they symbolize earth. Then here on the right: Rodan I think is pretty obvious, along with these others: Air. And down here, a-....actually, hold on. These three we've obviouly never seen before. But I honestly don't know if they represent Fire, or not." Turning to the Shobijin, she pointed to the black moth and asked "Why does this one look like Mothra, and yet doesn't? Who are these kaiju?"
"The ones you speak of are the unknown elements."
""Unknown elements"?"
"These are kaiju who were not created by The First Civilization. They are creatures who came from an unknown source, and actually represent two elements: earth AND fire. Though we believe Battra, the dark moth, may be some kind of foil to Mothra, serving as her counterpart to keep a senseof balance between them. A yin to Mothra's Yang. But in spite of this, these kaiju are apart of the balance. Each group representsone of the four, and as such maintain their balance in their own way."
While still listening to the Shobijin, Serizawa continued to study the mural, eying every kaiju upon it. Seeing how each of them differed from each other, and yet were still an intricate part of the world itself. However, when he looked, he saw in the center afamiliar figure: a saurian creature with mapleleaf shaped spines on it's back.and he immediately identified it as-
"Gojira."
"What?" asked Dr Graham, who turned to speak when she heard him say something.
"Look here, in the center. Gojira is here" he answered.
Even Miki and Ozaki heard what he said, and looked to the mural in curiosity, looked to where Serizawa pointed, and to their surprise Godzilla was there. Right in the center of the kaiju groups.
"Yeah, you're right." said Ozaki. "It IS Godzilla."
"Yeah, it is. But why is he in the middle like that? Is he supposed to represent all four elements, or something?
"Well, maybe." Dr Graham said. "From what we've seen he can live on land AND sea, he breathes atomic fire, and he's even been able to fly at somepoint USING his atomic breath. So you could be right about that Miki.'
"Actually" said the Shobijin "There is more to it than that."
"What do you mean?" asked Dr Graham.
"If you will recount the tale, The First Civilization ceated Godzilla to be the mightiest of earth's kaiju. And though it was indeed to create a king of the monsters, the other reason is this: They believe that Nature has a certain power. One meant to restore balance to the world. And they believed that Godzilla was that power. When they analyzed him in his pre-kaiju state, they learned he possessed enormous potential for unimaginable things. This means that Godzilla would become a force beyond anything we could ever hope to understand. And even now, we believe that he is the key to maintain, and restore balance should the world ever fall into danger. Something which will make him a powerful ally when the Grand King returns. And something youmust tell your leaders f so that you can prepare for King Ghidorah's return."
"But wait a minute." said Ozaki. "a monster powerful enogh to destroy a planet is coming back to earth after having already invaded thousands of years ago. And the only way to stop him is if humans, and kaiju work together to fight him. Is that right?
"Yes."
"But how exactly do we get everyone to do that? I mean, humans and kaiju aren't exactly friends, so it'll be impossible to get either one to work together. I mean, we believe what you say of course, but I don't think we can convince our superiors that this is true. I mean, what if we tell them what we know, and yet we still can't convince them?"
"You must try. For the sake of every living thing, you must try. Our very survival, and our future depends upon it. Only together can we prevent the great calamity that befell the First Civilization from coming to pass again."
Hearing this, Ozaki looked down to his feet, considering what The Shobijin said. He knew they were right, and he wanted to convince everyone to do as they say. But he also knew it would be difficult, considering humans practically hated kaiju, and kaiju did't really care for humans aside from a few. He knew this would be a task that would be almost impossible, and he wasn't sure they could pull it off. But when he looked up to the others, he saw that they each had a determined look their faces.He could tell that they were willing to do whatever it takes to protect their home, no matter how difficult it would be. Then he considered that one fact which was absolute: the earth was everyone's home, human and kaiju alike. They all shared this world together, and only together could they keep it safe.This is how it was meant to be, and this is how it should be. And so, with a new resolve, Ozaki also had a look of determination, and he finally spoke again, giving his reply.
"Okay. If it means keeping our world safe, then I'm all for it. How about you guys?"
"'You don't have to ask me. I'm already in." said Miki.
'As am I." said Serizawa.
"Me as well." said Dr Graham.
Hearing that they were willing to help send the messgae, the Shobijin smiled happily, and bowed their heads in appreciation before speaking one last time.
"Thank you all for your willingness. We have absolute faith that you will succeed. With that, our time together is finished. After all, you have an important task which lies ahead of you. But always remember, as long as you remain allies of the earth, then Mothra will remain YOUR ally as well."
Upon the completion of this sentence, a bright light enveloped the room, causing the 4 humans to shield their eyes from the illumination. When they opened them, they could see they were in a different part of the caverns. One they actually recognized. And the familiar voices oftheir teammates confirmed their suspicions.
"Hello? Is anyone down there?"
Ozaki yelled back "Yeah, it's us!"
"Ozaki? Is that really you?"
"Yeah, it is."
"Oh, thank God! We were really worried about you guys! Heck, we've been searching allover for you. Where have you been."
"Well, it's...kind of a long story."
"Well, how about you tell us about itonce ou get out here. Me and the guys are dying to know!"
Ozaki then turned to look at the others, who each gave a nod to him as they made it clear that they knew what to do.
"Okay then, guys. Let's get started."
Since the kaijus are in fact Chimera-like genetic creations, I think they also use the genetic material of Godzilla 2014 species (if he exists in this universe) to create Godzilla.
