GODZILLA: Angel Wars Anguirus

Anguirus is the last of great race of ankylosaurid dinosaurs. First appearing in 1955, Anguirus was awakened from hiberanation when  a cargo plane crashed outside of Osaka, Japan. The creature wondered into the city, frightened and confused of the world around him. Eventually Godzilla arrived on the scene and things became worse. Anguirus was quick to become aggressive, seeing Godzilla as a predator (fossil evidence in later years show signs that Godzilla's species ate Anguirus' species). The two kaiju proceeded to battle, thus marking the first kaiju battle in history. The fight devastated the city and Anguirus was forced into retreat. He later reappeared in 1964 when King Ghidorah arrived on Earth. He along with Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra and the newly hatched Mothra larvae banded together and drove the space monster off world. Since then, Anguirus has often been seen helping Godzilla resolve kaiju conflicts across the globe. Godzilla in turn has never turned his agression on his shorter ally since 1955. According the Shobijin, Moll and Lora, it isn't fear that drives Anguirus to help Godzilla. It is respect.
